Instance-Guide: Höllenfeuerzitadelle - Bollwerk

Vor gut einer Woche begann die Family & Friends Phase von Blizzards Burning Crusade Beta-Test, an der meine Freunde und ich Glücklicherweise teilnehmen dürfen. Nachdem ich also nun einige Tage zahlreiche Quests, Skillungen und Dungeons ausprobieren konnte, gibt es heute den ersten Guide zum Erweiterungsset, The Burning Crusade, das Bollwerk der Höllenfeuerzitadelle.

Bei dieser handelt es sich um eine linear aufgebaute Instanz, welche im Startgebiet, der Höllenfeuerhalbinsel, der Scherbenwelt angesiedelt ist. Die Instanz erinnert optisch ein wenig an die Orkgasse in der unteren Blackrockspitze und ist ähnlcih wie der Düsterbruch recht kurz gehalten. Spieler mit guter Ausrüstung können sie auf dem normalen Schwierigkeitsgrad innerhalb einer Stunde problemlos bewältigen.

Tier 4 Set Drops

Im amerikanischen Forum ist ein sehr interessantes Posting zu den Tier 4 Sets aus Burning Crusade nachzulesen:

There is a tier 4 set for most builds for each class. The boss drops a "token" for a certain slot for a certain set of classes (it's not really called a "token", but I'm speaking of it mechanically here), which you then turn in for the type of set piece of your choice (ie: for a warrior, the tanking plate or the dps plate, or for a druid you choose between the healing, moonkin, or feral gear).

Demnach wurde das bereits aus Ahn'Qiraj und Naxxramas bekannt Token/Questsystem weiter ausgeweitet, was es nun jeder Klasse ermöglicht mit einem Tokendrop einen Setgegenstand seines bevorzugten T4 Sets zu bekommen.

Erklärung zum Kampfwertungssystem

In Burning Crusade gibt es ein weites Spektrum neuer Begriffe, die sich um das Kampfsystem und die Ausrüstung drehen, Verteidigungswertung, Ausweichwertung, Trefferwertung etc. Der normale WoW Spieler weiß da sicherlich nicht sofort was Sache ist. Daher hat Gnorog jetzt im offiziellen Forum eine Erklärung zum Kampfwertungssystem abgegeben.

Burning Crusade Talent Update

Blizzard Entertainment hat die Talentbäume aller Klassen noch einmal komplett überarbeitet. Was genau bei welcher Klasse geschehen ist, erfahrt ihr in diesem Thread des offiziellen Forums.

Die Schlangenfalle der Jäger

Blizzard Poster Kalgan hat im US Forum nähere Infos zur Schlangefalle des Jägers bekanntgegeben:

1. Yes, snakes are mobs that can be targeted. There are 6 to 10 snakes that come out of the trap (oh $h1%, we've got Snakes on a Trap!) and attack random targets within 10 yards of the trap.

2. The snakes do physical damage and apply random poisons (ie: mind numbing, crippling, and a deadly poison).

3. They don't do a lot of damage individually, but in total the damage is meaningful.

4. The snakes will chase the same distance mobs normally chase.

5. The snakes move at normal mob speed (although their victims may be affected by crippling poison).

Burning CrusadePvP Eindrücke

Im Forum von Curse Gaming ist in der vergangenen Nacht ein Posting eines Burning Crusade Alpha Testers aufgetaucht, welches dasPvP Konzept in den neuen Gebieten des Erweiterungssets beschreibt. Hier ein kleiner Ausschnitt:

Hellfire Peninsula: This is the first zone that you encounter when traveling to Outlands. There are three controllable locations in the center of the zone, right behind the entrance to the instances (Hellfire Ramparts, The Blood Furnace, The Shattered Halls, Magtheridon's Lair), so these are a focus of the zone. The three locations form a triangle and are rather close to each other, mounted with an epic mount it would take you around 15 seconds to get to the adjacent point. As long as you are flagged for PvP combat (or are on a PvP Server), these capture with the same mechanic as the Eastern Plaguelands towers. A small ui element will appear when you are inside the areas, showing a bar with an indicator of who controls the area. This bar's slider will change based on which side has the most alive people inside the controllable point. When all three locations are held by one side, everyone in the zone and inside the respective instances gain a buff that increases the reputation you gain while killing mobs.

Zangamar Marsh: The marsh is the second zone that most players will progress to at around level 62. The PvP elements in this zone are again located in the center of the zone. These two towers are captured the same way as Hellfire's, whoever has the larger force in the immediate area will start to take control. The difference between the marsh's objectives is whichever side controls both towers not only gain a 5% damage buff, but also take control of the graveyard located between the two towers.

Nagrand: If anyone has ever said WoW has no outdoor PvP, this zone will prove them wrong. The designer of this zone put careful thought and programming into this world PvP element. For everyone who complained on the forums before about a controllable city, this is your chance to shine. Halaa is a city located on an island in the center of the zone, with four rope bridges at each corner connecting it to the mainland. Players will want to fight over this for a few reasons. First, players in the zone on the faction that control the city gain a buff that increases damage done by 5%. Second, there is a pair of NPCs that you can exchange tokens gained by killing people, and dust you gain by slaying mobs in the zone

Blizzard Entertainment hat soeben die offiziellen Burning Crusade Jäger Talente bekanntgegeben.

Wir haben soeben die neuen Talente und Zauber der Jäger in der kommenden Erweiterung, The Burning Crusade, veröffentlicht. In dieser Vorschau könnt ihr schon jetzt neue Talente, Zauber und Fähigkeiten*, wie zum Beispiel die Schlangenfalle und den "Fass!"-Befehl sehen.

Burning Crusade ohne Decursive & Co

Das "The Burning Crusade" einige Errungenschaften der letzten Jahre zerstören wird, sollte so langsam Jedem klar sein. Selbstverständlich bring das Erweiterungsset auch wieder Änderungen der Benutzeroberfläche mit sich. Eben diese werden es zukünftig unterbinden, dass automatisch Ziele anvisiert und bestimmte Zauber auf sie gewirkt werden können. Einem offiziellen Posting aus den US Foren sollen somit zukünftig Add-Ons wie Decursive und ähnliches unterbunden werden.

*UI mods and the Burning Crusade*

Hi there, this notification is meant to inform you of some significant changes regarding the way we're handling UI addons. Over the last few years, we've seen a number of awesome, gameplay-enhancing UI mods along with a fair number of UI mods that run counter to our philosophies regarding what addons should and shouldn't be able to do.

Essentially, we don't want UI mods to make combat-sensitive decisions for players and as such, we've made some changes that block functionality that we feel is counter to the spirit of these philosophies. As such, AddOns and macros can't make decisions on who to target or what spells to cast.

That being said, our programmers have implemented a host of new functionality in order to allow many popular and benign UI mods to continue to function (once those mods are updated to take advantage of the new functionality), and will be providing some follow-up information on these forums as to how to take advantage of the new functionality.

Just to clarify, AddOns and macros will still be able to cast spells (with user interaction of course), they just won't be able to use logic to intelligently pick spells or targets.

Laut offizieller Aussage will Blizzard Entertainment zwar erst im Laufe des Wochenendes die Jäger-Talente von Burning Crusade bekanntgeben, aber bei World of Raids bekommt ihr bereits einen kleinen Einblick, wie diese aussehen könnten:


Talents

Beast Mastery

Tier 6 - Animal Handler - Increases your speed while mounted by 4% and your pet's chance to hit by 2%. The mounted movement speed increase does not stack with other effects. (8/4%)
Tier 7 - Ferocious Inspiration - When your pet scores a critical hit, all party members have all damage increased by 1% for 10 sec. (2/3%)
Tier 7 - Catlike Reflexes - Increases your chance to dodge and your pet's chance to dodge by an additional 2%. (4/6%)
Tier 8 - Serpent's Swiftness - Increases ranged combat attack speed by 4% and your pet's melee attack speed by 4%. (8+8/12+12/16+16/20+20%)
Tier 9 - The Beast Within - When your pet is under the effects of Bestial Wrath, you also go into a rage causing 30% additional damage for 18 sec. While enraged, you do not feel pity or remorse or fear and you cannot be stopped unless killed.

Survival

Tier 4 - Resourcefulness - Reduces the mana cost of all traps and melee abilities by 20% and reduces the cooldown of all traps by 2 sec. ( 40%+4sec/60%+6sec)
Tier 6 - Survival Instincts - Reduces all damage taken by 2%. (4%)
Tier 7 - Thrill of the Hunt - Gives you a 33% chance to regain 50% of the mana cost of any shot when it critically hits. (66/100%)
Tier 7 - Expose Weakness - Your ranged criticals have a 10% chance to apply an Expose Weakness effect to the target. Expose Weakness increases the attack power of all attackers against that target by 25% of your Agility for 7 sec. (20/30%)
Tier 8 - Master Tactician - Your successful ranged attacks have a 25% chance to increase your critical strike chance with all attacks by 1% for 8 sec. (2/3/4/5%)
Tier 9 - Readiness - When activated, this ability immediately finishes the cooldown on your other Hunter abilities.

Marksmanship

Tier 5 - Silent Hunter - Reduces threat from all attacks by 7%. (12/17%)
Tier 6 - Combat Experience - Increases your total Agility, Stamina and Intellect by 3%. (6%)
Tier 7 - Displacement - Reduces your chance to be hit by all attacks by 1%. (2/3%)
Tier 7 - Zen Marksmanship - Increases your ranged attack power by an amount equal to 8% of your total Intellect. (16/25%)
Tier 8 - Master Marksman - Increases your ranged attack power by 2%. (4/6/8/10%)
Tier 9 - Silencing Shot - A shot that deals 50% weapon damage and Silences the target for 3 sec.

Spells

Level
Kill Command
Give the command to kill, causing your pet to instantly attack for an additional 127 damage. Can only be used after the Hunter lands a critical strike on the target.

Level 62
Aspect of the Viper
The hunter takes on the aspects of a viper, regenerating mana equal to 25% of his Intellect every 5 sec. Only one Aspect can be active at a time.

Level 64
Steady Shot
A steady shot that causes RAP*0.3+100 damage. Causes an additional 175 against Dazed targets.

Level 68
Snake Trap
Place a trap that will release several venomous snakes to attack the first enemy to approach. The snakes will die after 15 sec. Trap will exist for 60 sec. Only one trap can be active at a time.

Dragonhawk
Dragonhawk Fire - Targets in a cone in front of the caster take $m1*3 Fire damage over 2 sec.
